Felix is a working stallion at Lone Fir Friesians. His calm temperment makes him a pleasure to work with in the farming activites. His intelligence shows through with his desire to work. He doesn't just work, but works safely which is a sought after trait in driving. I deeply value my line of horses calm, thoughtful temperments. If fact, it's what I look for in the breedings.
Felix has the most beautiful, slow, collected canter that I have ever witness. He was able to do this naturally at a young age and it has only improved with time and training. He's a true, natural athlete.
Felix and Tove
As you browse through this website, notice how Felix will mix with either geldings or mares in the various harness arrangements. In the picture above, notice how he will drive without blinders.
I have always been Felix's only trainer and handler. I was present at his birth, right by my bedroom window. I think his happiness with his place on the ranch shows through.
