Gitane has been started in natural horsemanship. He has put up all his own hay last summer, has ridden in the mountains for several summers. Gitane also pulled a bobsled all winter to feed the cows. He has carried my son (11) on the trail rides. Last year, he started his lower level dressage training. He would be in the category of a hotter friesian, having a lot of presence and leg action, compared to the other horses here. What's nice about Gitane is he has tons of practical experience to go with his warmer temperment. Last summer, he insisted on walking under the Trackhoe excavator arm while I was pushing in posts!!! He will be a truly great show horse for the owner that wants to pursue that discipline.

Gitane has one of the nicest heads I've seen on a Friesian. He also has a very nice short back, also rare in the Friesain. Gitane has it all with the spectacular movement and by this picture, you can see how he naturally carries himself. He stands 15.3 hands. Gitane is a true lover with people. Always the first to be at the gate, wanting to work. My son rode him on this trail ride. Gitane is by Feitse, preferent, known to throw a high percentage of ster babies. His mother is Dena, out of Hanske, ster, preferent. Hanske was named the Crown Jewel of the American Breeding of Friesians. Gitane is also half brother to Felix, our main stallion. Pony Friesian Filly. Java is 3 years old and stands 13.3 hands. Even though her mother is a regular sized horse, Java has always been small and the vet says she should mature to 14.1 which puts her as a pony! She has great movement and a very sweet personality. I've started her with her ground handling, trailing in the mountains and as much experience as her age will allow. She going to be a spectacular pony for the children. $1,000

Newt is by Felix, out of Tove. Tove comes from the rare Romke line, not available anymore. Tove's sire, Yk, was by Romke. Yk only bred for 3 years. With Newt's sire, Felix, coming from the spectacular Hanske line of mares, this boy has great history behind him. He pulled a bobsled all last winter to help with feeding the cows, so he has a nice, steady base to his training.
